Last night, my DH and I went car shopping. I have a great car which I love (his name is Wilson. Yes, I named my car Wilson.), but he is getting up there in miles and lately I have spent a lot of money keeping him going.
So, while I am not terribly excited about having a car payment, I am pretty excited about getting a new vehicle. I like being up higher than a car, so we are looking at small to mid-sized SUVs. The major requirement is that my DH, who stands 6'6, has to fit comfortably without scrunching his knees or hitting his head. Other than that, I am not too picky, though I would LOVE a sunroof...and maybe something in red.
Here are the vehicles that have caught our eye.
2004 Jeep Liberty:
2004 Saturn Vue:
2005 Chevrolet Equinox:

ever consider leasing? if you want a new car I can get you employee pricing on any Chrysler cars. Let me know :)
So fun :) I love my Jeep
Hi Honey! I don't recommend the 2005 Equinox. It has bad consumer reports. We found this out when we were care shopping. We ended up getting a silver 2006 Equinox.
I vote for the jeep!!
Check out the Rav4 - I LOVE MINE and it's affordable, AND gets great gas mileage. Plus Phil (who is 6'3") fits very nicely in it :)
Hey...if you want, I can look up consumer reports stuff for you. My mom got a year-long subscription when she was buying her car (earlier this month, she finally decided) so might as well put it to use!
She got a 2006 Buick Rendezvous...it has great interior room, and drives like a dream...seriously, I test drove one, and a Mercedes, and liked how the Buick drove better. The Jeep is nice too - her best friend has one of those and loves it...
Anyhow, I hear great things about the Rav4 and CR-V, too...and Honda and Toyota are pretty reliable in general...
