Monky-licious Wednesday

I just can't resist some good monkey stories. A good friend recently did a monkey story time, and one of the books he read was AH-MA-ZING, so I just had to read it to my kids.

Happy Wednesday, y'all!!!! I am excited to share my story time for today - we had a lot of fun with monkeys!! I found some great books for this story time. And, after looking through my blog, I realized that I have NEVER done a whole story time devoted to monkeys! I had a couple new book story times that had books with monkeys, but never have I had a Monkey story time. Well, now is the perfect time!!!

Finger Play: Five Little Monkeys (we did 5 Little Monkeys jumping on the bed, but there are different ones! My 4 year old niece LOVES the 5 Little Monkeys swinging from the tree!!)

It was a great story time!!!

And since it's Wednesday, it's FMRNS!! Tonight is extra exciting, because it's the season finale of ANTM!!! Who's it gonna be, Anne or Chelsea?!?!?! Tune in tonight to find out!!!

I'm actually really excited about tonight's feature!! I wanted to see the 2005 drama TransAmerica with Felicity Huffman when it came out, but never did get to it. I am really looking forward to it!!!

We were fortunate enough to have a Bonus Night this week (quite by accident, I must say!). On Monday, A and I got together to watch Castle, but it wasn't on for some silly reason. We just happened to have another movie that is on the list, Network, a drama from 1976 with Faye Dunaway and William Holden available, so we watched that one!! And, of course, it was FABULOUS!!!! Can't wait for tonight!!!!

New Book Tuesday!

We just got a whole bunch of fabulous new story time books in to the library, so I decided it was once again time for New Book Tuesday!! Here are the books we are going to read today!!





And, as always, it is FMRNS!! WHOOOOOT!!! Have I ever told you how much I love Tuesdays?!?! This week's feature is Amityville Horror, the original from 1979 with James Brolin and Margot Kidder.

As backups, we have Somewhere in Time, a romantic drama from 1980 with Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour, or Meet Me in St. Louis, a family musical from 1945 with Judy Garland and Margaret O'Brien.

I have to admit, I'm kinda crossing my fingers for one of the backups...I am NOT a horror fan... :::shudder::: (don't you love the tag line on the Amityville Horror poster?!)

Tuesday!!

At last, it's TUESDAY!! I decided for story time today I would read some of the new books that just came in to the library!! Here they are!




And of course, it's Fabulous Movies Real's Never Seen Night!! We decided to watch a comedy this week. We have a couple of choices. We found a couple of these on VHS at the library, and since the VHS cassettes from the library can be a little sketchy at times, we thought we would check out all three, just in case!
