1,701 words and a pirate

After yesterday, all I can keep thinking is 'Damn, I am SO glad I took a bunch of time off work!' By the time I turned off the computer and sat down with a Pomegranate Smirnoff Ice (mmmmmm), I had been working on my first Capstone essay for 11 hours.

Let me give you a quick overview about why Capstone SUCKS. First, we have to write three essays in a week. They have to be 1,500-2,500 words each. We didn't get the questions until this past Monday morning, so in a week, we have to do all the research and writing of these three 1,500-2,500 word essays...

Well, after my 11 hours of hard brain draining work, I manged to find some fabulous sources and write 1,701 words on my first topic. WOOHOO!!! I'd tell you what the topic was, but I think I would have to kill you afterwards... Remember, the only thing any past Capstoner would tell me about the whole process is "They don't call it Capstone Experience for nothing." I'm beginning to see what they mean.

Today, I am putting aside my first essay and diving into a whole other topic. Again, I'd tell ya, but then I'd have to kill ya. Arrrrr...

Which brings me to the pirate section of today's blog. September 19th is International Talk Like a Pirate Day!!! They have pirate advice and *gasp* drink recipes, among other fun things on their site. Also, check out this pirate dictionary for some fun words!

And now, a picture of my favorite pirate:

Arrrrr, indeed...
