Piggy Toddler Story Time

***Don't forget to enter my latest GIVEAWAY!!***

Happy Monday, everyone!! We had a great Toddler Story Time again today!! It's still pretty small (it's only 3 weeks old!), but we had a great time anyway!!

Today's theme...PIGGIES!!!

Opening Song: If You're Happy and You Know It from Favorite Children's Songs CD.

Book: Piggies by Don and Audrey Wood

Finger Play: This Little Piggy
This little piggy went to market.
This little piggy stayed home.
This little piggy had roast beef.
This little piggy had none.
And this little piggy went "WEE! WEE! WEE!" all the way home!

Book: Do Pigs Have Stripes by Melanie Walsh (funnily enough, this book has no actual pigs in it!)

Song: Fun With Hands (to the tune of Row, Row, Row Your Boat)
(Roll, roll, roll your hands, roll them 1,2,3!
Roll, roll, roll your hands, roll them now with me!
Repeat with shake, clap, rub)

After that, we had our usual 15 minutes of interactive play time. This is really fun because there are lots of farm animals, cars, little people and colors to help engage the kids. There are also quite a few books available, if the kids want to sit and flip through them, or have Ms. Real read a little more. Fun stuff!!!
