1. Dirty Kleenex
2. Used Band-Aids
3. Dusty Swiffer Cloths
4. Old used binders with cobwebs all over them
5. Bottle caps
6. School notebooks
7. Markers
8. Moldy books that don't belong to the library
9. Moldy books in general
10. Basically anything that isn't a library book, DVD, audio book or CD.
These are all things that I've found in the book drop throughout my library career. The grossest was today's nasty snotty Kleenex, though. Ew.

Yuck! You may have to resort to wearing latex gloves.
Yuck!
I could maybe see how a bandaid would get in there. MAYBE. If it fell off your finger or something while you were dropping books in. But kleenex? And a *swiffer pad*? Unbelievable. People are so bizarre.
How the heck does a swiffer dust cloth get in there?!?! Weirdos!
Yuck on the dirty, used Kleenex. Ick.
Also may I add...beer cans, soda bottles, used gum (at least it was wrapped up in a wrapper) and the little paper holder from a hot dog vendor! Aww the joys of public librarianship! :)
That's just wrong!!

My sympathies. And yuck.
Gross, next time I'll throw some germ-x in there even though it's not library property....
Add leftover chinese food. Rice is so hard to completely get rid of. And a live cat. Yeah, my boss adopted that cat and she lived for many, wonderful years.
